MyTwoFavoriteMomsHappy Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mom’s who are part of the CLMNWA Family,

When it comes to Mother’s Day I have a lot of good women in my life to be thankful for, and as I write this today I’m thinking of a few women that I have really come to appreciate and admire.  I think of a woman like my sister-in-law Andrea who was forced to become a single mom, but is working towards her dreams and goals of becoming a teacher.  I think of a woman like Mary (we lovingly call her Mimi) who is not only a fantastic mom and grandmother to her children and grand-children, but is also someone who my daughter (who isn’t her grand-child) can count on.

When it comes to Mother’s Day, however, I would also have to say that I think about my mother, and the journey that we’ve been on, and how if it wasn’t for my mother I may not be where I am today.  It was my mother’s offer to send me a one way bus ticket to Arkansas that really was the beginning of the last steps towards becoming the man that is sitting in front of this computer penning these messages today.  The truth is I wouldn’t be where I am today without my mom, and when I think about that I can’t help being thankful.

I also think about and want to take a moment to honor my wife, Tara Kizer.  It’s safe to say that without my wife not only wouldn’t there be a Christlike Ministries NWA, but there also wouldn’t have been a Pastor B.  God knew exactly what He was doing when He introduced me to my wife in November of 2010, and today she’s not only been a fantastic wife…but she’s a pretty good mom too.  I’m not always good at letting her know just how much I love, appreciate, and admire her…but that doesn’t mean that I don’t.  She works hard to provide for our family, and she’s had to put up with a lot of stuff that she shouldn’t have to from me. I can admit that I’m not the easiest person to live with, love, or even understand for that matter.  I’m reminded of an old saying that says “behind every good man is an equally good woman”, and I am a firm believer in that.  I know I wouldn’t be who and where I am today without my wife and my mother.

Before I close this short message I would like to take a moment to honor all of the mom’s and grandma’s and auntie’s that are part of the Christlike Ministries NWA Family. I would like one more moment to wish all of you a “Happy Mother’s Day”, and that I hope you’re all having a fantastic day.

“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” – Psalm 127:3 (ESV)

Have a blessed day in the Lord!

Blessings & Grace ~ Pastor B
