Good Evening Everyone!
As we prepare to draw 2015 to a close, and work at welcoming a new year I find myself a little bit excited about 2016.
There are some good things on the horizon Christlike Ministries NWA Family, and one of the good things on the horizon is our theme for 2016 – Give God First Place.
The final message of 2015 comes on the heals of seeing this verse as I was surfing the Internet just now, and it’s the final thing that confirms to me that Give God First Place isn’t just going to be the first teaching series of 2016, it’s not just going to be the theme for Christlike Ministries NWA for 2016…but it’s also going to be my own personal theme for 2016.
The verse that fully persuades me that Give God First Place is the theme for 2016…
“And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” – Deuteronomy 6:5 (KJV)
The greatest commandment of all is to love the Lord our God with ALL of our hearts, with ALL of our soul, and with ALL of our strength. In other words, we’re to love God with every single fiber of our being. We are to love God more than anyone or anything in the world, and that includes ourselves.
So, I hope that you will join me for the first few weeks of 2016 in making sure that we remove a few more of the distractions that hinder us from maximizing our fruit. I hope that you’ll take some time to seek God and ask Him if there’s anything that we’ve placed in our hearts above Him…if there’s anything we’ve made into an idol in our lives…and as He shows us those things…I hope you’ll join me in seeking to have those things placed in their proper place…or completely removed.
Let’s all take some time to do what God spoke to me almost two and a half years ago when my daughter was born: Slow Down, Enjoy Life, and Adjust Our Priorities.
As we take some time to slow down (become more like Mary than Martha) to sit at the feet of the Master He will begin to reveal those things that aren’t in the proper place. Then, as we ask Him to help us adjust our priorities in life…you will find that you are able to enjoy life a little more.
You see, friends, in order to enjoy life we have to be able to learn to be disciplined to slow down, and make sitting at Jesus’ feet the main priority (that one needful thing) He begins to help us understand what is important in the scope of eternity, and what is really important to us.
So…this will indeed be the final post from me for 2015. I intend to take tomorrow and New Year’s to enjoy life a little bit, and then we’ll see what the Lord would have us to do from there. I am hoping to get one more test run for the live streaming in, and then I’ll likely take a short hiatus away from social media altogether before returning to kick off the new teaching series of 2016.
I hope that y’all have a fantastic and safe New Year’s Eve. I hope that y’all are safe, responsible, and as I said for Christmas please do NOT drink and drive. If you are going to party please make sure someone in your group isn’t drinking or make arrangments to take a cab or stay where you are going to be partying…please do NOT get behind the wheel. I don’t want to lose one CLMNWA Family member to jails, hospitals or graveyards this New Year’s.
Thank you. ALL of you for a fantastic 2015. Some of the numbers I’ve seen over the last few months are staggering, and I believe that they’re going to be a precursor to what’s to come in 2016.
I can tell you that we’ve reached almost 100,000 views by over 60,000 visitors from nearly 200 nations…and I am fully trusting that God will get us to (if not over) the 200 nation mark in 2016.
I can also tell you that I’m going to need those of you who have promised to support CLMNWA financially to stop saying you are going to do it…and really partner with us for $5.00/month.
Well. Thank you for your prayers, thank you for your patience, and thank you for your support. It’s been a pleasure bringing the Word of God to you, and I look forward to resuming doing so on Monday January 25, 2016 when we start talking about what it means to Give God First Place.
Until then. Have a Happy and SAFE New Year, enjoy your families, and God bless you all!
Blessings & Grace;
