Greetings and Happy May Christlike Ministries NWA Family,
It’s always said that April showers bring May flowers, and I thought what better image to attach to the May Newsletter than the most beautiful Flower of all our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ also known as the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valleys. Jesus is everything we need from the Living Water that brings the April Showers to the Rose of Sharon to remind us that He’s the most beautiful Rose.
So, I’m sure y’all are aware that I haven’t really been able to write nearly as much as I was hoping to, and for those of you who don’t follow me on Facebook you wouldn’t know that the reason is because my daughter has been fighting off seasonal allergies, teething, and so it has been more important for me to pay more attention to her. I’m only going to apologize for slacking with my writing, and that’s all. I won’t apologize for putting my daughter first for a while, and I really haven’t been able to get into a groove since recovering from my own surgery.
I am always seeking the Lord to help me to balance things because I am admittedly horrible at keeping my time balanced. I also find myself kind of bothered by the fact that I’m not writing at the pace I was hoping to so far, but at the same time Christlike Ministries NWA’s outreach has grown by leaps and bounds. The Christlike Ministries NWA Facebook ministry has grown to include a Fan and Group Page.
So…I really don’t have anything as far as important dates. Everyone knows that Mother’s Day and Memorial Day are the main dates when it comes to May. Lizzie turned another month older, and that’s really about all I can think of for important dates or events. I’ll be attending my next Coffee With The Mayor this month as I continue to work at being more involved with my community. I’m sad to say that I wasn’t chosen to be part of the Centerton Planning Commission, but I’m not stopping because there is a position open on the Parks and Recreation Committee that I’m going to be submitting my application for also. Many of you know that I really don’t like to be involved with politics at all…so this desire to apply to be a part of one of the city committees is 100% God.
So…I guess we’ll see what God does and if He blesses me with favor with the other committee members to start my path to working with my city government in some small way.
Announcements & Upcoming Series:
Many of you are missing out on a lot of my posts because you don’t follow me or the Christlike Ministries NWA Facebook Fan Page. I know there are a lot of you that aren’t on Facebook at all. I’m also on Google Plus, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Like last time, I’ll post links to where you can find Christlike Ministries NWA.
We will be resuming our Living An Others-First Life series this coming week. I believe that whatever had Lizzie not feeling well may finally be passing, and so with her allergies getting better I believe that I’ll be able to get back to writing. I’m not sorry that I’ve taken more time to keep an eye on my daughter, but I will apologize for not writing more often. I am also going to be changing how I do things that will help me to better balance my time, and that’s what this section is for.
First, the daily devotional is now going to be a weekly post. By doing a weekly devotional it will allow me to continue writing for the Lord, but it also help me worry less about trying to keep up with daily posts. It will also enable me to work on having a better pace with my teaching series posts, and it may also increase the likelihood of side journey messages as the Lord leads throughout the rest of the week.
Secondly, I’m hoping this week to resume the Living An Others-First Life series that we started, and I haven’t been able to get back to due to my daughter not feeling well. I will continue to write my teaching series messages by the week. So, if there is a seven message series that means there will be one message a week for seven weeks (unless the Lord leads otherwise, of course.). Again, this will help me to better balance my time, and it will enable me to have a better pace from this point going forward.
Thirdly, I do have two things that I try to post almost as close to daily as possible. I have a Thought and Scripture of the Day that I try to keep as close to daily as possible, and I will work at adding them here. However, for now they’re always seen on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus.
Finally, I will try to remember to do a monthly Newsletter post (like this one). I may not always have important dates or announcements, but I like to keep you informed as to how the ministry is growing, how far God is stretching our boundaries, and continue to let you know that if you are blessed by this ministry that it’s biblically correct for me to ask you to support us financially. How many know that if you are fed by a ministry that you ought to sow into it!?! I assure you that Christlike Ministries NWA is good, fertile ground to sow into, and I also want to make you aware that when you sow into this ministry our fruit is also your fruit. So, if you have already given or never given financially to help keep Christlike Ministries NWA online I hope you’ll consider it. I’ll have a contact form with a drop down menu at the end of this post for those of you who may want to give…and always know that when you sow into this ministry you are supporting Christlike Ministries NWA…but more importantly you are giving to help us fulfill our part in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Let’s Worship The Lord:
A few weeks ago, Pastor Bill Rogers of Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonville, Arkansas brought this song before us, and I knew that I was going to use this song in a post, and I can’t think of a better version to use then the one by the Family Worship Center singers that sing in Jimmy Swaggart’s church. The song is called “This Blood”, and I think that it’s a good idea to not only include the video, but the lyrics so you can sing along! Oh…and keep some Kleenex close because it may just touch your heart in a way than only the Holy Ghost can…so let this song remind you about the Blood of Jesus…and that Jesus Christ is very much alive…and there is still power in the Blood of the Lamb!
Here are the lyrics:
There is a blood
That cost a life
That paid my way
Death its price
When it flowed
Down from the cross
My sins were gone
My sins forgot
There is a grave
That tried to hide
This precious blood
That gave me life
In Three Days
He breathed again
And rose to stand in my defense
So I come to tell you He’s alive
To tell you that He dries every tear that falls
So I come to tell you that He saves
To shout and to proclaim that He’s coming back for you
This Life, This Price, This Blood, This One
There is a Blood
That sights the blind
That Heals the sick
The lonely finds
It has the Power
To free the bound
As chains they fall
Upon the ground
So pour it out and
To cleanse my soul
And let’s liquid Glory flow
Because it lives
To make me whole
I owe my life
I owe my soul
Father God, thank You for all that You have done. You have taught us so much more about Grace, and so many other things. Thank You for continuing to draw people and nations to Christlike Ministries NWA, and may You continue to stretch the boundaries and territory of the outreach of this ministry. May the name of Jesus be magnified and glorified through all that we do, and may You make Your face to shine upon all the members of the Christlike Ministries NWA Family. We ask that You will continue to protect us, guide us, and most of all conform us more and more to the image of Your Son. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
Final Word From Pastor Bryan:
Friends, I want to remind you that we need to be praying for our nations leaders, and that includes everyone from the President of the United States all the way down to School Board members. There are a lot of disturbing things happening right now that we need to be pleading with God for our nations leaders to be lead by the Holy Ghost. Many of these decisions will have a serious impact upon our nations youth. So, let’s remember that if they’re part of the government whether they be federal, state, or local we need to do like the Bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14…we are accountable and responsible for praying that these men and women who make the decisions in this nation will be lead by God…and not by those who line their pockets or contribute to their campaigns.
Also, Memorial Day weekend is coming. I know many of us will have cookouts, parties, and such. For a moment, however, let’s remind ourselves that while Memorial Day is sort of the official kickoff to summer that it’s also a time to reflect upon the men and women who gave their lives so that we can have a Memorial Day to celebrate, let’s also remember the men and women who are currently serving now so that we can continue to have a Memorial Day to celebrate, and finally let’s remember that Memorial Day is also a day to remember the One that paid the greatest price of all so that you and I could not only have a Memorial Day to celebrate…but so that we could celebrate with Him in eternity when He rules and reigns forever and ever. Amen!?!
Well, friends, I am so very thankful for all of you who choose to follow Christlike Ministries NWA. I want you to know every click of the like, follow, or subscribe buttons blesses me beyond measure and encourages me. We’re close to averaging 100 visitors to the Christlike Ministries NWA Blog every day, and the fact that we’re still drawing that many even though I haven’t written a lot of new material lately means that God is drawing people. So, I appreciate everyone that chooses to allow me to impart into your lives, and I truly hope that what you read encourages, inspires, or challenges you to develop and maintain your own personal walk with God.
Have a blessed rest of the day and month of May in the Lord!
Blessings & Grace to you!
