In The Palm Of His Hand

Good Afternoon!  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  Mine has been pretty nice so far although there’s been a little too much rain, but then again I know that we need all the rain we can get here while we can get it.  Rainy days offer me more of an opportunity to be able to sit and write too.  So, it’s time to get into the Christlike Ministries NWA Devotional for Saturday April 18, 2015, and as always before we get into the message let’s take a look at the Scripture the Lord is wanting to speak to us about today.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” – John 10:27-28 (NKJV)

Isn’t it a comforting thought to know that God intimately holds each and every one of us in the palm of His hand like the little lamb in the picture?  There are often times that we can talk about God’s love, and His desire to have a personal, intimate relationship with each and every one of us…but as they say some times a picture really is worth a thousand words.  This picture tells the story about how even though there are many of us that are whosoever’s that have called upon the name of the Lord to be saved.  God still holds each of us intimately in His hand.

I know that there are so many times and things we do that we think makes God mad at us or disappointed in us, but the truth is there isn’t anything we do that takes God by surprise.  No matter who we are or what we have done there isn’t anything that can separate us from His love, and there isn’t anything that can pluck us out of His hand.  So, I know this isn’t a very long message today, but I feel like so many of us (myself included) need to be reminded of these simple truths.  We are valuable to God, and He holds each and every one of us in the palm of His hand.

Relax and be at peace today, beloved.  God has you right where He wants you…in His hand.  Remember the old song we used to sing as kids?  If not, I’ll remind you of the words, and close.

He’s got the whole world in His hands, He’s got the whole world in His hands, He’s got the whole world in His hands, He’s got the whole world in His hands.

Let’s Pray:

Father God, thank You for taking the time, once again to remind us just how loved and valuable to You we are.  Thank You for keeping us safe and secure in the palm of Your hand.  Help us, Lord, to rest in the peace and comfort of knowing there isn’t any one or any thing that can pluck us from Your hand or separate us from your love.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen & Amen.

In Closing:

God has all of us in His hands, and is intimate enough to hold each one of us one at time.  Isn’t it good to know that His hands are big enough to hold us all, but personal enough to allow each of us to feel like we’re the only one in His hand all at the same time?  Let your heart be comforted today, and may we all find ourselves as convinced as Paul was that there isn’t anything that can separate us from His love.

Have a blessed day in the Lord.

Blessings & Grace;

Pastor B
