Committed & Established
I hope everyone is having a good week, and that y’all are staying warm. It’s been pretty cold and snowy lately here in Northwest Arkansas too. It’s given me some time to reflect a little, and make a few subtle changes to the ministry posts. Hopefully they will lead to things being easier for you to enjoy.
With all that said here is the Christlike Ministries NWA Devotional, and along with it our Scripture of the Day for Thursday February 19, 2015.
“Commit your works to the Lord And your plans will be established.” – Proverbs 16:3 (NASB)
When I began this ministry the first thing I wanted to make sure that was understood is that no matter how many people read, like, or comment on my posts the reason I do this is because it’s my way to serve the Lord and commit myself and my life to Him. I do this because I love the Lord, and want to make HIM famous one message at a time for what He has done, what He has yet to do, and what He is doing in…with…and through my life. I do this to share my testimony one message at a time, and let you know that God can do the same thing He’s done in my life in yours.
I am excited to say that nothing has changed. The work that I do through Christlike Ministries NWA is still firmly committed to the Lord, and I believe that it’s the Lord that has established us. Keep in mind that I’ve done all of this without ever setting foot in a Bible College. I don’t have a degree from Moody Bible Institute or John Brown University or even Phoenix University. I am established as a pastor, Christlike Ministries NWA is established not because I graduated at the top of my class or because I’m some great theologian…all I am doing is established because my desire is and always has been to make JESUS famous.
This work that I do through Christlike Ministries NWA is in no way about me or my popularity. I have firmly and totally committed what I do through Christlike Ministries NWA to the Lord, and as a result God is the reason that it has been established.
Heavenly Father, thank You for this timely Word today. I declare, Lord God, that I want Your will to be the plans for myself and my ministry. I want Your glory to be the goal of everything I do. Father God, I want Your plans to be a blessing to my family and to those over whom I have influence through the ministry that You have established. Lord Jesus, I want You to be glorified in what I do. I want to go where Your grace leads. I commit my ways, my plans, my ministry, and my works to You and to Your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
I want it to be known that Christlike Ministries NWA has always been and always will be about Jesus. Yes, it helps to encourage me when I see that people like or comment on what I post. Yes, it encourages me when I see that someone has been touched or ministered to by something I’ve written, but that’s not the reason Christlike Ministries NWA has been established. It’s been established because the work that I do through it is firmly and completely committed to the Lord.
Have you been blessed by this ministry? Would you like to help me out?
Here are some really practical ways you can help me out.
1) Engage – I don’t always have time to reply to everyone but I read every single comment and post on here. I reply to every message and email and every one blesses me! Please do get involved and let me get to know you in the little ways we can online.
2) Share – If you love the posts here, or maybe an article on the website… please share it on Facebook or Twitter… it really helps new people find this ministry and be blessed by the good news of the gospel…and tell people about us.
3) Pray – We really value your prayers. Pray for this message to find good soil – that God would continue to bring new faces to this ministry that are ready to accept His embrace.
4) Give – Running a ministry is a lot like running a business. There’s always a cost, and if this ministry blesses you in any way…you can now help by giving to it financially. I’ve set up a ministry card that is used specifically for ministry needs & expenses. If you’d like to give to this ministry contact me directly at email@example.com for more information.
Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support. All of you who follow me are of great encouragement to me…and I’m grateful for all of you.
Have a blessed day in the Lord!
Blessings & Grace;
