Blessed Are Those Who Trust In The Lord

Greetings Family,

I didn’t post anything at all yesterday at the leading of the Lord, and maybe a few tugs on my arm by Lizzie I decided to step away from the computer for the day.  Now, I know we have two devotionals and a second message in our Growing In Grace series to get to, and the interesting thing is that today’s verse tells us why we’re going to get everything caught up.  So, let’s check out the Scripture of the Day, and then get into what would’ve been the Christlike Ministries NWA Daily Devotional for Wednesday February 11, 2015.

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in You!” Psalm 84:11-12 (NASB)

So, I said that we would get everything finished today that I need to get finished, and I truly believe that because whenever I take a break it’s always because I am following the direction of the Holy Ghost.  I trust that God is going to give me the time, and the ability to get caught up on both devotionals and start the second message of our Growing In Grace series.

Do you know why I trust God so much with so much?  It’s because He’s proven Himself to be faithful, and He’s blessed me because of my faith and trust in Him.  He’s taking care of my family because I have faith and trust that when He tells me that He’ll take care of my family while I take care of what He’s called me to do…I believe Him.

The song says that we are to trust and obey.  Do you not know by now that obedience to God is a sign of complete surrender and trust?  I obey God because I trust Him to do what He says He will do…even when it looks like He’s not doing what He said He would do.  I have learned that no matter how things look in the natural God is always faithful, and that He will always do what He says He will do.

Most people when they see the word “blessed” they think of money, but in many translations of the Bible the word is translated to mean “happy”.  Lord knows we here at the Kizer household aren’t rich, but I can say that for the first time in my life I am truly happy.  I love the life I have, and I am blessed that I get to wake up every day, see my wife before she goes to work, spend time with my daughter, and sit down to pen these messages in loving service to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I may not have it made financially, but what I do have is something that money can’t buy.

Let’s Pray:

Lord God, how can we thank You? You have lavished Your grace upon us in Jesus. You have promised us victory and heaven. We praise You for Your grace. We thank You for sharing Your glory with us. We rejoice knowing that You long to bless us. Now, Father God, help us through the Holy Spirit to be the faithful people You long and desire for us to be. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

In Closing:

No friends, my wife and I aren’t eating steak and potatoes every night, we don’t drive luxurious cars, we don’t wear designer cloths, and we don’t have the latest gadgets…but we do have our basic needs met, and for some while our life may not be a blessing for us it is.  It’s also teaching Elisabeth that the most important things in life aren’t the things we want, but the things we have and are able to enjoy.

I believe that God is going to bless us in a great and mighty way as long as we continue to be faithful and trust Him to meet our needs. I believe greater blessings are in store as we continue to walk with Him, and I continue to serve Him.  He promised me that He would take care of my family’s business as long as I took care of His.

Friends, I have a word from God, and when you have a word from God it doesn’t matter how things look in the natural…God is going to do what He says He is going to do.  So, I have chosen to trust His Word, and obey the call on my life to faithfully serve Him.

I say it all the time.  It’s up to me to trust and obey Him.  It’s up to Him to produce the results.  Never once has He let me down before, and since He is the same yesterday, today, and forever…I know that He’ll always fulfill His promises.

What has God promised you?  Maybe the reason what He’s promised hasn’t happened because you haven’t fully trusted Him to bring to pass what He said he would do.

Trust and obey…it really and always is the only way.  I believe that if you’ll get out of His way, and just trust Him (and obey what He told you to do) that your miracle, breakthrough, or answer to prayer is on it’s way.  What did we talk about just the other day!?!

I heard it in my spirit as I was getting ready to close this message.  I’m going to write what I heard because it’s for all of us, and close the message with that…giving God the final word.

“Fear Not, Only Believe”

Have a blessed day in the Lord!

Blessings & Grace
