Your Love Never Fails

Scripture Of The Day:   Psalms 13:5-6 (NLT)

But I trust in Your unfailing love. I will rejoice because You have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. Psalms 13:5-6 (NLT)

His Love Never Fails

Greetings Family,

I have been trying to write the Christlike Ministries NWA Daily Devotional for Sunday February 1, 2015 off the wrong Scripture of the Day, and now that I am on the right track I’m ready to write this devotional.

But I trust in Your unfailing love. I will rejoice because You have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. Psalms 13:5-6 (NLT)

There are a lot of  “Your Love Never Fails” songs out there today covered by many artists, and for the most part everyone has their favorites, and true to form I have mine which happens to be Jesus Culture’s version.

We’ve been talking about how God isn’t good because He does good, but that He’s good because He IS good.  The reason that God’s love never fails is simply because God IS love.  His love can’t fail because He cannot fail because there’s nothing but perfection in Him.  God isn’t perfect because His work is perfect…His work is perfect because HE is perfect.  There’s absolutely no flaws in God, and because God is love there are no flaws in His love either.

We always think of God’s love as unconditional, but the “God kind” of love is far greater. The “God kind” of love goes deeper, stronger, higher, further, and even more than just unconditional.  God’s love is perfect.  There aren’t any flaws in God’s love because there are no flaws in Him.

Think about this.  Paul wrote in one of the most quoted prayers from the Bible these words, and then I’ll talk about the significance of those word in a moment.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. – Ephesians 3:14-19 (NASB)

Paul prayed that we as believers would be rooted and grounded in love, and that we would know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge.  He prayed that we would know the height, depth, width, and length of God’s love. The point is that God’s love is unlimited and that’s because there’s no limit to God.

Friends, the number one area that people struggle in is their own personal walk with God, and the number one reason for that struggle is we don’t understand and in some ways we don’t believe that God loves us.

So, in closing, and I know this message went a little long, but God’s love cannot fail because God cannot fail.  God’s love is limitless because God is limitless…and that’s why we can sing songs like “Your Love Never Fails”…and because His love never fails, because He can never fail then we know that none of the other promises of God can ever fail.

God’s love never fails because HE never fails!

Let’s Pray:

Lord, we pray that we would be rooted and grounded in love, but not just any love…Your love.  We pray that You would give us just a little knowledge and understanding of Your love. Fill us, Father God, with Your fullness, and help us to share that love that is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost with the world around us. May You always be glorified, and may the world know Your love through us. In Jesus name. Amen

In Closing:

This message has already gone pretty long, and I still have one more message to pen today.  Perhaps the next time you hear one of the many versions of “Your Love Never Fails” it will be more than just a song on the radio.

Have a blessed night, everyone!

Blessings & Grace;

Pastor B
