Wrath or No Wrath It’s Your Choice

Scripture Of The Day:  John 3:36 (NASB)

He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. – John 3:36 (NASB)

Wrath Or No Wrath It’s Your Choice

Happy Sunday Family!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  It’s been a warm and beautiful January so far here at Christlike Ministries NWA, but it’s a cold, grey day today.  It’s a good day to be inside, and writing the Christlike Ministries NWA Daily Devotional for Sunday January 25, 2015.

He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. – John 3:36 (NASB)

Do you know what one of the silly reasons I choose to believe there is a God, and that I became a whosoever that called upon the name of the Lord to be saved is?

I choose to believe in Jesus because if I am wrong then this is the best life is ever going to be, and when we die there really isn’t anything to look forward to on the other side.  HOWEVER, if those that choose not to believe are wrong eternity is going to be an awful long time to live with the regret of rejecting Jesus Christ.

In short, my choice is to believe in Jesus so that I don’t have to endure the wrath of God for all of eternity for rejecting what He sent His Son to do on the Cross in my place.

The message of this verse is simple, and John writes it again later in his epistles that those of us who believe and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior HAVE eternal life in Heaven, and those who reject Jesus will spend eternal life in Hell.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t want God’s wrath to abide in me, and so I choose to abide in Him.

Let’s Pray:

Father God, thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your Son to take away our sin so that we could not only receive His righteousness, but that we could spend eternity with You.  Amen & Amen

In Closing:

If you want to know who is and isn’t going to go to Heaven when they die the answer is right here in Jesus’ own words.  How many of you know that when we read the red letters that’s Jesus speaking!?!  If you want to know who God says is going to spend eternity in Heaven and who is going to spend an eternity abiding in His wrath…then why not read what He said?

Listen, if it was important enough for God to speak it Himself through Jesus…then that is all I need to know.   If Jesus said it He meant it, and that’s good enough for me.

Of course, with a message like this I cannot and should not close it without give you the chance if you haven’t already to make Jesus Lord and Savior of your life.  You can have the same assurance that when you leave this world you will be able to abide in Jesus now, and with Him through all of eternity.

It’s really easy to do.  All you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that what Jesus came and did on the Cross was for you, and call upon Him like the thief on the cross next to His.  If you need help knowing what to say…just pray something like this, and you’ll be a whosoever that’s called upon the name of the Lord, and be assured of your place with Jesus just like me.

God, I’m a sinner. Forgive me Lord. I receive Jesus as my Savior. I trust Him as my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!!

I would like to be the first to welcome you to the Body of Christ.
