Scripture Of The Day:  1 John 4:13-15 (NASB)

By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

Who Are You Preaching For?

Greetings Christlike Ministries NWA Family,

It gives me great excitement to let y’all know that the traffic on the Christlike Ministries NWA Blog has already increased, and it also stays true that the most popular series I’ve penned is still  7 Hebrews Words For Praise.  I don’t know what it is about that series, but it’s by far the most popular and most read series of messages I’ve penned, and it really encourages me that something I’ve written has found such a wide audience.

So, let’s get into the Christlike Ministries NWA Daily Devotional for Wednesday January 21, 2015 by first taking another look at our Scripture of the Day.

By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. – 1 John 4:13-15 (NASB)

This is one of those topics I wish I didn’t have to write about, but in this day and age with some of the most popular preachers in America giving way to the fables and fairy tales that Paul warned they would as a sign of the end of the age…it’s necessary to give us all a reminder that not everyone that preaches is working for Jesus.  Sad to say that even some of the most popular preachers today have forsaken their first love, and are preaching a counterfeit gospel.  When we have preachers claiming that the Roman Catholic Pope is the pope of Christianity, that Christians and Muslims are praying to the same God, and that God’s will for us is to live our best lives now and just to be happy…and Lord knows all of the preachers that are on the prosperity bandwagon and preaching sloppy grace and all kinds of other stuff it’s good the Bible has a way for us to find out who is really preaching for Jesus…and who is not.

It’s very simple.  If you hear preachers that say that Jesus Christ is just a good man or a prophet or that He compares to any other god in the world…then chances are those preachers aren’t preaching for Jesus when they stand in their pulpits, teach on television or radio, and if you are being taught be anyone that preaches this junk there’s only one thing to do. RUN!!! GET OUT OF THAT CHURCH, AND DON’T LOOK BACK. Yes, you pray for the preacher that they are enlightened, return to the Cross, and repent…but GET OUT OF THAT CHURCH.

It’s very important, friends that we are extremely careful who we are learning and receiving from.  It’s important because only about 20% of Bible believing Christians actually read their Bibles every day…and that includes some of today’s Pastors and Preachers.  I am stunned by the number of websites that are available to pastors that have ready-made sermons complete with jokes, illustrations, and scriptures.

There are a few things I’d like you to know about me.  First of all, I will admit that even I could stand to spend more time reading my Bible, but I most certainly read it.  Secondly, I am always going to confess Christ.  You’ll never hear or read me say that Jesus is just “A Way” to be saved…I will always preach and teach that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be saved. Finally, because of that you know that I abide in God, and God abides in me.

So, as we close today’s message.  I just want to encourage you be careful who you are learning from, and be sure that the preachers you are receiving from abide in God and God abides in them.

Let’s Pray:

Lord God, it’s unsettling that we have to talk about this kind of topic, but thank You for reminding us that not everyone that preaches on Sunday or Television or Radio isn’t really working for You.  Holy Ghost, please give us discernment to know when someone is or isn’t preaching for Jesus. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen & Amen.

In Closing:

It’s not fun to have to talk about false teachers and preachers, but they’re definitely amongst us today.  It’s important to remember that not everyone on television or radio or behind the pulpit are working for God…sadly some are working for the other gods in the world.

Thankfully, God has taught us in His Word how to discern who is and isn’t working for Him.  Let’s commit ourselves to being more diligent and discerning about whom we are learning from…Amen!?!

Have a blessed day & God Bless!

Blessings & Grace;

Pastor B
