And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude? And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. (Matthew 15:33-38, KJV)
This is the first message I’m going to write of this kind, but I don’t believe it will be the last. This isn’t just a message on giving, but it’s my way of asking you to consider giving financially to support this ministry just like you would any other, but I’m going to come at it from a different perspective.
So, I’m really going to have to rely upon the Holy Ghost for this message, and believe that He’ll speak to your heart about what I’m going to ask of you in the end.
Today’s Message: “A Lot With A Little”:
I’m sure there are some of you wondering how the parable of the seven loaves of bread and fish have to do with giving to support a ministry like mine, but that’s where the Holy Ghost led me when I asked for help in finding a Bible based point for what I’m asking from you.
In the beginning of starting this ministry I never imagined that it would become what it is today. I know there are many who think that this is some kind of hobby or something I do in my spare time, but I can assure you that it’s not a hobby nor something I do whenever I have the time. It’s a real ministry that has had a global impact. I have had my message read in countries and languages I’ve never heard of…and I know from a few people who have contacted me that some of these places have taken the messages I write…and use them to teach people who have no idea what a Bible or the Internet is.
At last count Christlike Ministries NWA’s WordPress.com Blog has reached over 160 countries at least once. There have been nearly 40,000 hits, just over 1,300 followers, and that’s been in roughly two and a half years. I fully expect to be closer to 200 nations, and would love to be closer to 2,000 followers by the end of our third year which is in February of 2015. Also, at last count there were nearly 25,000 of the 40,000 hits from search engines like Google and Yahoo and Bing. That means that people are looking for a specific topic or word…and they’re finding what they’re looking for in a message I’ve written.
Our most popular series to date is still the 7 Hebrew Words for Praise series we did, and the most popular message is the 7 Hebrew Words For Praise “Tehillah”.
So, what does the story of the bread and fish have to do with this message? I’m at a place in my ministry where I have to learn to ask for help, and that means financially. I’ve been doing this full-time since about a week or so before Christmas of 2013. So, we’ve become a one income family which does okay to support our family, but it’s not really doing much to fund the ministry.
Earlier this year I had to ask for help in order to keep our domain name, and thankfully we had a couple of people who really believe in the ministry make the investment to save the ministry domain name. However, there are still operating costs and upgrades that need to be met in order to keep the ministry running and to reach the goal of continuing to grow.
Unlike most ministries, everything I do is online, but what isn’t any different is the fact that I need money to keep things going and growing, and that’s where this parable comes in.
I have come to figure out that if each one of my followers were able to put a $1.00 or $5.00 bill in an envelope and send it to us…that would bring in enough money for this ministry to operate for the rest of the year. I still have a separate money card set up strictly for the ministry…and I realize that not many people use or carry cash anymore…but that’s really the best way to help this ministry.
We aren’t legally registered or anything so we don’t have the ability to give out tax credits or anything like that. But, that’s really all I’m asking. If you can send more than $5.00 that would be awesome, but if everyone were to put a one or five dollar bill in an envelope that would be awesome.
That’s what the point of this message is about. It really only takes a little bit of money to help me and this ministry do a lot for the Kingdom of God.
The disciples didn’t have any idea how to feed the multitudes, and in their own power they couldn’t…but when they took the little bit they had and gave it to Jesus…Jesus made sure that not only was everyone fed…but that there were leftovers for everyone to take home.
That’s the point of this message. In my our own strength or ability we can’t feed the multitudes…but if everyone who could send one or five dollar bills to the work of the Lord…it’s God who will take and multiply that money so that not only is everyone that’s currently being reached can be fed, but so that there’s money leftover to reach and impact more people.
And that’s the whole reason for my writing this message. I’ve reached the end of what I can do in my strength and ability. I need the help of my followers to continue to reach and impact the world…and it only takes a little bit of money from everyone to do a lot.
Will you help?
This is your opportunity to sow a little bit of money that would be used to do a lot for the Kingdom. I can assure you that none of that money would go into my pocket, but that it would go straight onto the ministry Walmart Money Card, and it would be used only for ministry expenses and upgrades.
Please understand that it’s not easy for me to ask for financial help with this ministry, but as I said a moment ago I’ve reached the end of what I’m able to do in my strength and ability. I sought the Lord in prayer and actually got His answer from a post I saw on Facebook where they were asking if people would be willing to give a dollar for the advancement of the gospel.
Please understand something. The money sown into this ministry is going to support a ministry that is global. We’re literally around the world. 160+ countries in who knows how many languages. That’s what you’re sowing into. By February of 2015 (our third year anniversary) I’m believing God for 200+ nations and 2,000+ followers…and I need your help to get there, friends. I can’t do it without you.
So, if you can take a $1.00 or $5.00 bill or maybe you can do more, put it in an envelope, and address it to:

If you have any questions or would like to give more please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I don’t have any gifts or bribes to offer in exchange for your money other than the fact that you’re giving into a ministry that is fertile and solid soil…and while you might wonder what a $1.00 or $5.00 seed can do…just remember that before Jesus blessed the loaves of bread and fish the disciples were wondering how in the world they were going to feed all those people…but Jesus add His Super to their natural…and there was more than enough to feed the multitudes until they were full and had more than enough for everyone to leave with leftovers.
You really can do a lot to help Christlike Ministries NWA with a little bit.
Thank you for your time, and thank you in advance to those of you who will help us out.
Blessings & Grace to you.
